It by no means a complete list but I am endeavouring to make a better job ( than I did for 2008 ) by keeping the page more up to date during 2009. Hence the page of its own. I have included National holidays and School Holidays which may possibly influence your plans. To complete the page I've included a list of the Market Days for the various towns and villages, as more often than not a visit to any one of these can be an event in their own right.
The events section initial view shows the regular weekly events and those for the current month. Alternatively choose your own month to view from the mini-menu.
All of the events may be subject to change, so where possible check their own website ( if there is one shown ) or with your hotel reception / local bar / local newspaper or the nearest Tourist Information Office ( a list is shown at the foot of the page ) for confirmation and latest information.

Rock 1 at the Autodrome • •A long weekend of concerts, dj's and motor racing at the race track. 'James Morrison' and 'Bloc Party' have confirmed. Single day tickets cost €50 euros, a single ticket for the four days costs €80 euros. A day ticket for four people €80 euros and a full festival ticket for four costing €240 euros. VIP tickets are also available, with champagne lounge tickets for two people costing €1,000 euros and tickets for the motor park’s VIP tower costing €1,500 euros per couple. Children’s tickets are also available, costing €5 euros per child ( 3 - 10 ). This allows the children free access into the ‘Kid Rock Garden’ where they will be supervised by childminders, while parents explore the festival.A five hectare campsite will also be set up opposite the event. Shuttle buses will available to and from Rock One and beaches in Portimão council. This could be the start of a popular annual festival ( subject to the approval of the local residents ).
