Alternative cash points are situated inside the Baptista supermarket five minutes walk up the hill ( Rua 1 de Maio ) or the Espirito Santo 500m Up the hill ( Rua 25 de Abril ) from the town square, on the right hand side of the road and also Barclays a little further up the same hill.

Banco Espirito Santo

English speaking staff. Commission charged on exchanges. No credit card transactions over the counter so you need to use the ATM ( Cash point ) in the foyer ( which is accessible at night using your bank card for entry ). Note that the ATM has been known to empty on / during national / bank holidays. Alternative cash points are situated outside the Barclays Bank further up the same hill on the right. Also inside the Baptista supermarket five minutes walk up the hill ( Rua 1 de Maio ) from the square on the right or the Credito Agricola located in the main square.
